Dr Ewa Stachowska, habilitated doctor, is a sociologist employed at the Institute of Social Prevention and Resocialization (Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Resocialization) at the University of Warsaw. Her research focuses on the interrelationships between contemporary culture, the media, marketing, advertising and religion. Moreover, she studies the transformation of religiousness in Poland, especially the changes in religiousness among young people. She is the author of the book The World Youth Day in Krakow from the Perspective of the Sociology of Religion (Światowe Dni Młodzieży w Krakowie w perspektywie socjologii religii), in which she analyses the religious event from many angles. She has recently completed research on the religiousness and spirituality among Warsaw University students in the time of the pandemic.
