FUV is an organization under the Ministry for Ecclesiastical Affairs, based in three locations around Denmark: Løgumkloster, Aarhus, and Copenhagen. They provide continuing education for pastors in the Danish church, education for theology students wanting to become pastors in the Danish church, and research on the Evangelical-Lutheran church in Denmark.

The research activities of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland are carried out by the Church Institute for Research and Advanced Training. Founded in 1959 by Uno and Olly Donner, the Donner Institute for Research into Religion and Culture is a private research institute connected to the Åbo Akademi University Foundation. The Donner Institute brings together researchers, students and cultural agents and provides a meeting point for research on religion and culture in Finland and in the Nordic countries.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) strengthens the potential of the humanities and social sciences to help equip society for the future. Under the ‘Understanding Society – Shaping the Future’ programme it has intensified and expanded support for the humanities and social sciences in three areas of focus: i) Mastering social challenges: strengthening research on social cohesion, innovation and cultural heritage; ii) Creating design and development freedom for science; iii) Developing research data infrastructures for specific needs.

The Polish Society for the Study of Religions was established in 1958, and brings together Polish scientists interested in religious studies and related disciplines. The mission of the organization is to promote knowledge and develop understanding about religious studies.

The Frankfurt Council of Religions was founded in 2009 with the goal of improving mutual understanding and coexistence by promoting dialogue and offering advice. With representatives from nine religious communities, each of which independently appoints its own volunteer delegates, it remains unique in terms of its composition and is a highly regarded and trusted institution that has inspired similar initiatives in other cities.

The Swedish Agency for Support for Faith Communities is a Government Agency under the Swedish Ministry of Culture and its mission is to promote dialogue between the government and faith communities in Sweden as well as to contribute to knowledge about religion. The Agency is also responsible for the grants to faith communities.
