Research Team

Dr Alana Vincent is associate professor of History of Religion at Umeå University. Her research comprises two main areas of focus: cultural memory, particularly as construed through literature, and interreligious relations, particularly Jewish-Christian dialogue; she is especially interested in projects that combine these two strands, examining the way that the arts construct and critique the wider cultural imaginaries in which interreligious interactions are situated.

She has written on the memorial practices of WWI and the Holocaust, contemporary Jewish liturgy, and digital community formation.
