Prof Henrik Reintoft Christensen

Prof Henrik Reintoft Christensen is Associate Professor in Sociology of Religion at the Department for the Study of Religion at Aarhus University, Denmark, where he is also the Director of the Center for Contemporary Religion. Prof Christensen has worked extensively on the role of the majority churches in the Scandinavian societies in relation to religion in the public sphere, religion in secular institutions, and religion and funerals. Recently he has worked on the relationship between religion, existential issues and the pandemic which he will continue to develop in the Recovira project.

Dr Anne Lundahl Mauritsen

Dr Anne Lundahl Mauritsen, is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department for the Study of Religion, Aarhus University, Denmark. Her primary research area is contemporary nonreligion and cultural religion in a Scandinavian context as well as religion and crises. In her Ph.D. dissertation, she analyzed extensive qualitative and quantitative data inspired by cognitive, psychological and sociological perspectives with the aim of providing a new framework for understanding contemporary nonreligious identity construction and meaning-making. She has also researched and published extensively on the effect of the pandemic on respectively religiosity, meaningfulness and mental health, which she will draw upon in her work related to the Recovira project.
